World Cup Annecy (2010-10-03)

Back in running shape for my last bigger run in season. First big international chance in czech team(because one of the guys got sick and I was the replacement). Some mistakes, but still quite clear race. Lot of roads and paths, but still amazing rocky terrain, very technical. I missed the 1st spot very stupidly after I saw a beautiful Saila Kinni(FIN):-) So focused for the hill I run up the first one I saw. From my secure way following the path to the control were just eyes full of tears. 6th spot was a plague for Czech runners(5 from 6 of them made here a mistake, including me). After I saw...three ugly Irish guys(yes 3!, some kind of Irish manifest probably)..., no the map was bad in here(we was here next day to check it. 10th - following of wrong path(just in terrain). 13/17 small mistakes both time(very difficult control. 24th unfortunately I got completely lost in here. The controls after spectator passing were pretty tough, because of the green jungle around:-).25th, the easiest control on the track, near the big cross with a wonderful view at the lake of Annecy - I didn't see the path under the line in that speed and lost direction little bit. Best Czech in World Cup (of course Michal Smola was missing and Chromy got sick(thanks;-) and Kral is injured, but still I'm proud on me:-)
